so i watched an old school b-movie last night, and as such, have decided to do an homage to its villain, the flying guillotine. I think the movie was called master of the flying guillotine.... or the one armed boxer. Ether way there both cheese-tastic

I got my masterpiece Megatron today, and ok.... so action figures aren't that great, but this one is defiantly the best hunk of plastic, and die-cast metal, i have ever owned.and hes huge as well. So if an accurate g1 megatron isn't enough, the fact that hes a foot tall is just another one of the great things about him.

Well im off to take more pictures of my megatron... maby this time il dress him in a pink sweater ..... ya... or a chefs hat.....

ok so this is the first cut of Kid Odin webisode 1. ist missing about 30 scenes ( 1 minute) and some scenes are near completion while most others are super rough. I decided to post this just because i was putting it together to have a quick peek at how she was turning out...... but im considering not posting until i have something significant.

the art of the rough...... a screen cap from a super rough scene im working on now.... ohh when this new demo is done its gonna rock yer socks.... and as a side not, yes i know the ch model has 4 fingers, and my drawing has five..... i plan to fix that when i build the symbol rig over top of the pose.

oh and i should give a very honorable mention to Justin Coffee, its his superbe character designs that im drawing off of. Recently Gene, myself and the coffeytron sat down, and re-visited the character designs for kid odin. ANd now thanks to coffee's supreme skills i have a fancy new set of characters to work with.

Kid Odin begins again, this time with re-designs and super fun story and character ( ya the last version was way to dead and over anime) This time around its gonna be all character drivin goodness.. Anyhoo enjoy the run.

i liked the story board i was working on so much, i decided to illustrate it.

so this is the show were working on now...... i was told that if i show even one scene i could be sued by animation collective, or even ytv.... on the bright side... check out the dragons on the side... totally mine! well clean up by Ryan kizer, but the pose is mine.

just a 4 sec loop of some fun...... to bad i cant show anything ive been working on latley.. it puts this to utter shame.

So, like every good idea ive taken kid odin into the shop, and am now in the process of re- visualizing it. Along with this great revelation, ive added a diverse story to draw from. This is a shitty flash rough i did a little while ago, its just for compositional purposes, but i think it turned out to have some merit. The premise is that serous my main character and his comrade Balder, are on the boat of the damned, crossing the sea of souls, to get to the land of niflheim. in this sequence i plan to seriously play with angles, and try and create an air of uneasiness. lets hope this practice will help achieve that goal.

Ahh today i found out that El Tigre has been canned. And like so many other shows, like clone high, undergrads, etc we are left to wonder why. The show pushed the boundaries of what flash can do, and more so it pushed my brother to an even grater level of his craft. In the end i suppose thats what is most important, is the knowledge you glen, and the experience you gain.
Although, if i was in his shoes, id drag out and burn the corporate fat-cats that canned the show, thus satisfying my insatiable lust for revenge. But thats the difference between myself and Steve. Cu dose to you my brother, for helping create something that once again has pushed the boundaries of flash .

so i was informed that i need a sample to enter, befour the actual event at M.I.P... so heres the start of a sequence im going to use as an intro be four my fight sequence..... Apparently it needs to be complete by aug 24, and then the actual confrince is in September.. so hopefully il have this all compiled by that time.

every so often we get a chance to work on something special, and in fewer cases we get to share what that experience was. ( damn you nda's !) Today , one of my cohorts in crime told me that one of my SKUNK FU sequences is on the skunk fu sight. thats right! i dont have to wait a year to show the fruits of my painstaking labors. i still cant post the sequence, because of the nda however i can link you to the sight... god damn i love loopholes.

this is another more advanced version of the past likas... still.. a long way to go.. but its shaping up.. oh and i added music.. a quarter will go to the person who calls where is from!

furthering the idea from the first test..... i gave it an ending... and now im in the process of cleaning it up a little more.... only in some spots though, it still has a huge ways to go be four i put my stamp of approval on it..

i just did this tonight to see what my boarding skills were... and if the really rough animation was strong enough for me to go ahead with posing.. ( keep in kind that this is bear bones.... nothing fancy, just some f@*&ing around)

Hey guys
haven't posted in a long while I know.... but I've been busy at my new JOB!!
I work for Fatkat Animation Studios in Miramichi. Its run by the competent Gene Fowler, and thanks to him I now have my first industry job!!! I've been working there now for the past 2 months (holy crap its really been that long). I have worked on a hole shitload of projects here thus far, increasing my animation ability to AVERAGE!!!!! (the word echoes and lightning strikes behind me, silhouetting me from my computer desk).

Thus far I have worked on Aquapods, (www.aquapod.com) After that I had the privilege of workin on a great project. I also worked on an amazing project with Flinch, its an art instructional course, to teach kids about art, and artists of the past. That's what the pic above is from and was animated by myself and the amazing Neven Nesic's (hes an animation god).

I just this past week worked on a project for a huge international animation producer on an animated show, its was a pilot for a preschoolers show that's interactive. And they loved it, thus guaranteeing us plenty of work for the future. Myself and Dave Dick worked diligently to get it finished. Now finally, were up to the present. Im working on a some straight to DVD titles with an animation studio in the states.

I think it hit me this past Friday. I was sitting drinking a beer and working on a TV pilot that we’re co-producing with another animation studio, and it hit me.THIS IS FUCKIN AWESOME!!! I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!.... and my life kicks ass now! (it always did, but im living my dream now, or I should say I made my dreams reality).
